Leeds United, West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby County all interested in signing AFC Bournemouth defender

Leeds United, West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby County all interested in signing AFC Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Championship sides Leeds United, West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby County are all keen on signing AFC Bournemouth left-back Tyrone Mings.

Alan Nixon tweeted: “BOURNEMOUTH. Mings can go on loan once Mepham done. WEST BROM still fav but VILLA lurking and even LEEDS and DERBY in the bushes …”

AFC Bournemouth are set to confirm signing of Brentford defender Chris Mepham, which will allow Tyrone Mings to leave the club.

The centre-back made his Brentford debut in January 2017 and has played 48 times for the Championship side. The deal thought to be worth over £15m.

AFC Bournemouth have already signed £19m England striker Dominic Solanke from Liverpool in January.

Tyrone Mings cost AFC Bournemouth £8millon in 2015, he has only made just 20 appearances after struggling with injuries.

The left-back can also play at centre-back which will give Marcelo Bielsa’s side more options if Tyrone Mings decided to join Leeds United.

About Tyrone Mings –

Following spells at Yate Town and Chippenham Town, Ipswich Town signed the defender in 2012 from Southampton, and he made 57 appearances for Ipswich Town.

Tyrone Mings impressed in his final season at Ipswich and after helping his side finish in the Championship Play-Off spots, and the left-back decided to join AFC Bournemouth in June 2015.

Tyrone Mings has shown great promise at Premier League level, but he has had bad luck with injuries since signing for AFC Bournemouth which has stalled his development.
